1Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Ledger mobile application ("the App"), operated by Kayla ("we", "our" or "us"). By downloading, installing or using the App you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App and discontinue use.
2License to Use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own personal or business record-keeping. You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell or lease any part of the App;
- Reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the App;
- Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
3Your Account
To use the App's sync features you must create an account with a valid phone number (verified by OTP) or a Google account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate information when creating your account;
- Keep your device and login credentials secure — you are responsible for all activity under your account;
- Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
You may delete your account at any time — see How to Delete Your Account.
4Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the App to:
- Store or share unlawful, fraudulent or misleading records;
- Infringe the rights of any third party;
- Interfere with, overload or disrupt the App or its servers;
- Attempt to access data belonging to other users.
5Your Content
The account names, transactions, notes and reports you create in the App belong to you. We claim no ownership over your entries. You grant us only the limited technical rights needed to store and synchronise this content on your behalf (for example, saving it to your private cloud backup).
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the records you keep and for complying with any bookkeeping, tax or legal obligations that apply to you.
6Not Financial Advice
7Advertisements
The App is free to use and may display advertisements served by third parties (such as Google AdMob). We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements or for the products and services they promote. Your interactions with advertisers are solely between you and them.
8Availability & Updates
- We work hard to keep the App available and reliable, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation.
- We may release updates, add or remove features, or change the App at any time to improve the service.
- Features that rely on the internet (sign-in, sync, ads) require a working connection; offline entries sync when your connection returns.
9Intellectual Property
The App, including its name, logo, design, graphics and code, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Except for the license granted to you in these Terms, all rights are reserved. Third-party trademarks (such as Google and Android) belong to their respective owners.
10Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, misuse the service, or if required by law. Upon termination, the license granted to you ends and your synced data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
11Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We are not liable for:
- Losses arising from decisions made based on records kept in the App;
- Loss of data caused by device failure, uninstalling the App while not signed in, or events beyond our reasonable control;
- Indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages of any kind.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
12Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. If we make material changes, we may notify you inside the App. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
